Any Day Miso Soup

I bought a tub of soybean paste that comes with Dashi. It is a very simple soup to prepare and even on the tub has got the recipe quite similar to mine. So I just get on with it saving me some time.

It may be a simple straight forward dish to cook but you be amazed by the goodness and nutritional values it contains.

According to researchers in Japan, miso soup cut the risk of breast cancer. They also discovered that 1 cup of miso paste is an excellent source of dietary fibre and protein as well as a good source of minerals.

Today I am making Tofu and Wakame Miso Soup. Enjoy la!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 block Tofu. diced in cubes
  • 5 gm dried wakame , soaked 15 minutes, drained
  • 4 tbp  Dashi Miso paste
  • 4 cups water ( 1 litre )

Method

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot. Add in Dashi Miso paste and stir gently till it dissolves. You can dissolve the paste in a small bowl with some hot water and pour it to the pot.
  2. Once it has dissolves, add in the diced tofu and wakame. Let it simmer for 1 minute. It is ready to serve. Careful not to overcooked the broth. You can add chopped spring onion as garnish. Voila!
