Chicken Noodle Break

Hmm! I know what I am going to say today. It is Monday Blues after all the excitements and big feasts over the weekend  gone by just like that! Ya go easy and light so I thought less action in the kitchen for now and hence cooked up some stir fry instant noodle. You can use any fresh egg noodle too.

So….”The Cook Is Out”.

This Stir fry Instant Noodle with Chicken dish is so simple to cook. It is made up of sliced chicken meat, green peas, cloud ears and shredded carrots. The sauce consist of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, pepper and chicken stock. Enjoy la!

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 2 pkt instant noodle (90g – 100g)
  • 100g sliced Chicken or Pork (mix with some corn flour, light soy sauce)
  • 1/3 cup cloud ears (optional)
  • 1/3 cup sliced shiitake mushroom (soaked in water and drain)
  • 1/3 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/3 cup green peas
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock

Seasonings

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • dash of pepper

Method

  1. Cook instant noodles in boiling water until they loosen up. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a little oil in wok and stir fry the chicken meat, cloud ears and mushroom until done.
  3. Add in the chicken stock and give a gently stir till the sauce is simmering .
  4. Add in the instant noodles, peas, carrots and stir fry the contents till they are all well-incorporated.
  5. Pour in the seasonings and give a quick stir. Serve. Voila!
