It is said that red dates is vitamins-packed and great for people recovering from illness. Red dates are said to stimulate the production of white blood cells which improves immunity, and decrease the levels of cholesterol in your bloodstream, which helps protects the liver. It is also found that black dates is rich in both insoluble and soluble dietary fiber. The insoluble fiber in black dates helps to facilitate digestion by increasing the rate of food moving through the gastrointestinal tract.
Honey dates is said to contains nutrients: 70% of sugar, several kinds of vitamins, abundant proteins and carbohydrates, so they are a kind of high-qualified tonic.
Ingredients
1/2 cup red dates, soak till soft
1/2 cup black dates, soak till soft
200g dried honey dates, soak till soft ( best use fresh honey dates if available and omit sugar )
2.5 litres water
Sugar to taste
Method
Put all the dates into a pot of water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours. Serve. Voila!
