My family really enjoyed this dish I cooked. Yummy they said. I never doubted any kind of kimchi. They are so appetizing and refreshing. Another delightful recipe by Maangchi.
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 200g pork belly, thinly sliced
- 4 or 5 cups chopped kimchi ( I bought a packet kimchi with the sauce )
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp hot pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp hot pepper paste
- 1 onion, sliced
- some spring onions, sliced
- 1/2 packet tofu
- sesame oil and water
Method
- Put the kimchi and sauce into a pot
- Lay pork belly, onion, spring onion, sugar, hot pepper flakes, hot pepper paste on top.
- Add water until the all ingredients are submerged.
- Cover with lid and bring to a boil for 20-25 minutes. ( first 10 minutes on high heat and then bring down to medium heat )
- Add the tofu and bring to boil for 5 minutes, add sesame oil right before serving. Voila!
