Hmm…Someone’s cooking in the kitchen. Not only looked delicious, it tasted spot on and mouthwatering. It was her favorite pasta, spaghetti Aglio e Olio. It is the Roman dialectal way of saying garlic and oil and generally prepared very spicy. A recipe so delightful and easily satisfies one’s palate. Enjoy la!
Ingredients( Serves 4)
- 500g spaghetti or any pasta you prefer
- 1/2 cup virgin oil
- 1/2 cup fresh prawns,
- 2 – 3 red chilli peppers(optional if you don’t spicy)
- 2 tbsp garlic, sliced
- 1/4 tsp salt
Method
- Cook the pasta in a pot of rapidly boiling salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup of the liquid and return to the pan to keep warm.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and saute till lightly brown. Add in the prawn, salt and stir the contents till the prawns turned pink or cooked.
- Pour the cooked pasta into a bowl for tossing and serving. Add the garlic and prawn mixture and toss. Add in the reserved liquid and give a good stir. Serve immediately. Voila!
