This tofu is a healthy dish which is rich in protein and low in fat. I have this dish braised with spicy bean sauce, mushrooms and minced pork.
Ingredients
- 2 Japanese beancurds, cut into 6 portions each
- 2 mushrooms soaked and diced
- 1 red chilli diced
- 1/2 cup minced pork
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp spicy bean sauce
- pinch of sugar
- 1/2 tsp chicken powder
- 1 tsp light soya sauce
- Little dark soy sauce
- 250ml water
- pinch of pepper
- 1 tsp cornflour ( mix with water )
- Chopped spring onions
Method
- Heat up wok with boiled oil, deep fry tofu until golden brown and crispy. Dish up in a dish.
- Heat up wok and add in 2 tbsp oil, saute rest of the ingredients until fragrant. Pour in water and other seasoning, stir until gravy comes to a boil. Pour in the cornflour mixture and bring to boil and sauce thickens.
- Pour the gravy onto the tofu. Garnish with spring onions. Serve. Voila!
