One of my family members loves fish very much and I would always oblige cooking any specialty dish as food always bring people together or even closer. Haha! 🙂
Ingredients ( 1 serve )
- 200g salmon steak, wash and pat dry
- Handful of brocoli ,cut in portions, wash and drain
Method
- Bring a small pot of water to boil. Add in salt, brocoli and garlic shoot and poach for 3 minutes till soft. Remove and drain. Place on a serving dish.
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil and pan fry the salmon on medium heat on each sides for 3-4 minutes or until cooked through. Place the salmon over the vegetables.
Sauce
- 1/3 cup peeled garlic, crushed
- 200ml milk
- 200ml chicken stock
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley, optional
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Melt the butter in a medium size saucepan.
- Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute.
- Stir in the flour and fry for 1 more minute continuously.
- Slowly add in the stock and milk, stirring continuously.
- Bring to the boil and reduce the heat and simmer, stirring until the sauce thickens. Add in the chopped parsley and mix well. Season to taste.
- Drizzle the warm sauce quickly over the salmon and vegetables. Serve. Voila!
