Braised Fish Mackeral In Ginger Sauce

ImageNo fuss about this fish recipe. With soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce and a little drop of shaoxing wine will do the works. Goes well with plain porridge and steamed rice.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 thick slice mackeral fish(350g)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp sliced ginger
  • some spring onion chopped

Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 100ml water
  • a drop of sesame oil
  • some coriander for garnish

Method

1 Heat up oil in a frying pan, saute sliced ginger and spring onion until fragrant.

2 Add fish and pan fry for 2 minutes(one side only) Add seasoning and cover with lid, let it simmer for 10 minutes until cooked.

3 Remove from heat, garnish with some coriander serve with steamed rice or porridge. Voila!
