Simple can be delicious. I will keep this recipe as long as battered fish is concerned.
Go with chips or serves as finger food!
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup dry ale(beer)
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- 4 x 100gm white fish ( I use baramundi fillet )
Method
1 Sift flour into a medium bowl, whisk in beer and salt until smooth
2 Dip fish in batter. Drain off excess. Deep fry fish in batches until golden brown or cooked. Drain on paper towel. Serve on a plate with lemon wedges. Voila!
You can serve dipping mayonnaise or chilli sauce
