This is yet another recipe for sweet dough bread I got from a recipe book. Its texture turns out soft and sweet. Depending on how much sweetness is added, you can eat straightaway or spread jams on it. Good for breakfast and tea.
Ingredients A
- 600g high protein flour
- 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp bread improver, 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 100g sugar, 3 tbsp milk powder
- 1 small egg, 300-350g water
Ingredients B
- 50g butter
Method
- Mix all ingredients A together and knead till it can stretch into thin sheet. Add B and knead till smooth.
- Cover and leave to prove till double in bulk. Knead again till smooth. Rest for 15 minutes.
- Divide into equal sizes and shape into balls. Arrange onto a baking tray. Leave to prove till double in bulk.
- Bake at 200’C for 15-20 min till golden brown. You can serve plain, spread with butter or jam. Voila!
