So happy to chance upon this recipe by My Kitchen blogger. I have been searching for the right consistency and texture of this dumpling skin for a while now. Yesterday I tried another recipe of this dish and the dumpling skin turns out to be a bit tough. I knew something s not right about the flour mixture when compared to this one above. Really pleased with the results of this one.
Soon Kueh is popular all over Singapore and Malaysia. This dumpling skin method is commonly found in DIM SUM too. The dumpling is filled with yam bean, carrot, mushroom, dried shrimps, black fungus, garlic and some seasonings(my own filling). You can lightly pan fry the dumplings too and serve with sweet sauce and sambal chili. Happy Days!!
