Deliciously Scones

Check this OUT!  The easiest and yet most delicious scones I have ever baked. Few ingredients like self raising flour, castor sugar, margarine or butter and milk are all you need.

  1. Simply mix the flour and sugar evenly first. Then the fun begins when you add the butter to the flour and sugar. Using your fingers mix them up into bread crumbs like texture.
  2. Next make a well in the centre of the dry mixture and then pour in the milk. Use a fork to ‘Cut’ milk through the flour mixture, and bringing the mixture together till they form like a sticky dough ball.
  3. Press the dough out to 2 cm thickness and dip your preferable size scone cutter into some flour and cut as many rounds as you can from the dough.
  4. Place scones side by side just touching in pan.
  5. Brush tops with egg wash or some milk. Place scones in pre heated oven 200’C and bake  for 12-15 mins or until just browned and sound hollow when tapped firmly on the top with fingers. Serve with jam and cream. Happy Days!
