Hum Chim Peng(Chinese Donut)

Interestingly these Chinese donuts turned out delicious and they are called Hum Chim Peng.

I am quite happy with the results having done this at first attempt.

This is a Chinese snack often eaten at breakfast. It can be sweet and salty.

The Chinese five spice ingredient is significant in this recipe. Sometimes the outer layer is coated with sesame seeds.

Inside typically filled with red bean paste. It s a deep fried hollow donut and it goes very well with a cup of coffee. Happy Days!
