I baked this raisin scones this afternoon in a rush, preparing lunch and leaving for work.
It turn out delicious, soft and crumbly on the inside though.
I tried using different shapes instead of the scone cutter. It s a very easy and simple recipe.
Firstly, mix cake flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cold butter until breadcrumbs is formed.
In a bow add in the egg and milk and mix to form a liquid mxture.
Slowly add the liquid mixture into the flour mixture and form a dough. Add in the raisins to the dough making sure all is well incorporated.
Make into a rectangle shape and cling wrap the dough and leave it in the fridge for an hour.
Next cut the rectangle shape dough into smaller pieces, egg bath and bake in a preheated oven of 190’C for 15-20 mins.
This recipe turns out crumbly tasty and that makes me happy!
